Band and Orchestral Instrument & Rent-to-Own Program

Our musical instrument rental program is designed from a parents point of view. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to introduce your child to instrumental music.

We rent new and used instruments at affordable rates. This is an open ended month to month rental agreement with no obligation to buy the instrument. However, all rents paid will apply to its purchase should you decide to buy and we have an early purchase option which allows a discount on the remaining balance at time of purchase.

What makes us different?

• Quality

A beginning student needs a well adjusted, easy to play instrument to help them get off to a good start. All of our instruments exceed the Music Educators National Conference (MENC) standards for musical instruments. For our rental program we stock quality, well known, brand-name instruments such as Yamaha and Leblanc (Vito, Holton) wind instruments, Buffet clarinets, and Meisel Stringed Instruments. • Service

All of our new & used instruments have been personally inspected and adjusted by John Pedersen and are guaranteed to be in good playing condition.


• Low Start-up Cost

We require only one month's rent in advance for standard instruments (see below) and three month's rent in advance for premiere instruments with no additional security deposit required.


• Step up Option

Up to 12 months rent credit may be applied to the purchase of a step-up instrument or another instrument in stock of equal or greater value.


• String Instrument Size-up Plan

If you are renting a fractional sized string instrument, you may exchange it to the next size larger as your child grows into it (up to 12 months rental credit may be transferred). All rent will continue to apply to the purchase of the instrument you are renting.

How our plan works

1. You will need to complete a rental application and sign a rental purchase agreement.
2. Our rental plan is designed for parents with children involved in K-12 school or private lesson music programs. Only the parent who is directly responsible for the instrument may rent the instrument. We cannot do second party rentals and we do not rent to college students or adults for their own personal use.
3. You will also need to have a major credit card (VISA / Mastercard / Discover / AmEx.) The credit card must be in the renter's name. Sorry, bank check cards cannot be accepted (as security) in lieu of a credit card.
4. The minimum rental period is paid in advance upon rental.
5. After the minimum rental period has passed, you will then be billed one month at a time. We require automatic payment of your monthly rental fee (including sales tax) to a credit card or bank check card. You will need to complete an automatic payment authorization form at the time of rental.
6. Each month you will receive a statement of the status of your account including a receipt of your automatic payment and a calculation of your buy out amount should you desire to purchase the instrument.
7. There is no refund on instruments returned before the end of the minimum rental period
